Nippon Seiki Launched Mass Production of Head-Up Display at New Poland Factory ~High-Quality with Clean Room Level of“Class-7”

Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd (Headquarters: Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, President: Mr. Koichi Sato) launched mass production on 15th April at the new company / new factory “NIPPON SEIKI POLAND Sp. Z o.o. (hereinafter NSPL), which was established and constructed in Lodz, the Republic of Poland. The first product is head-up displays for BMW Group.

Head-up display is a system that displays a variety of information, such as speed, warning, and navigations on the windshield in the driver’s field of view with a transmissive image. By minimizing the eye movement of drivers, the system will support safe driving and improve driving comfort. The market has been expanding in Europe and the Americas, and in recent years in China, too.

The new Poland factory / NSPL is expected to achieve higher production efficiency as well as improvement of logistic costs and inventories in the expanding European customer business. In the EU region, together with our subsidiary companies, Nippon Seiki (Europe) B.V. (the Netherlands) and UK-NSI Co., Ltd/ (the U.K), our consistent chain from design to manufacturing to sales will be enhanced to improve our customer service and to strengthen our competitiveness in the head-up display business in Europe.


The site area of NSPL is approximately 5.4ha with total floor area 10,183 square meters. (Two-storied steel-frame building. First story: mainly for manufacturing with 9,371 square meters, second story: mainly for office with 812 square meters.) Construction started in September 2019 and completed in November 2020. Launching of mass production was prepared along with the setup of production facilities. Mass production began in April 2022. The plant has a clean room of “Class-7”level, which is the highest level among our group’s head-up display factories. We aim to achieve higher quality level.

With the launch of mass production, Mr. Akira Komi, the president of NSPL has commented, “NSPL has hired 62 employees. With the support, guidance and training from Nippon Seiki headquarters and other group companies from the EU region and the U.S., we have been working to realize mass production with high-quality level. I am very pleased that we have built a system to provide high-quality products. We will continue our efforts to develop human resource and to contribute to the development of local economies and job creation in Poland.”
